I love the title of this audio CD. It’s turning your phone into a dollar gusher and that’s exactly what it can be.
In so many businesses, that phone call that comes in is not treated with the incredible importance that it should be. It’s right from the first moment, when the phone is answered, it’s how it’s transferred through to the next person, it’s what that person says.
There’s nothing worse than being transferred to the sales department to the guy saying “sales.” What’s that say? “Hey we con, cheat and manipulate!”
There are better ways of doing it.
The phone is an incredibly important part of the business still today. I know we’ve got the net, I know we’ve got emails, and then we’ve got all other kinds of communication but still people talk to people on the phone and there are better ways of doing it to turn those phone calls into dollar gushers.
There’s ways of transferring that makes a difference. There’s ways of setting it up so when it gets to the next person, the customer is more receptive.
